16 California Centers Magazine | September 2017 C C reach full potential as an extension of its brick-and-mortar stores. The goal is to convey the same quality, au- thenticity and expertise to the online community that it does to shoppers in-store. A true passion for sports translates into a commitment of ex- cellence that is evident in each aspect of the stores operations. That DICK's Sporting Goods has become such a trusted brand is a testament to its sig- nificance in the lives of its customers, who continually participate in ath- letic and sports activities throughout all seasons. Dick's defies the odds by consistently identifying and serving the continuing needs of its operating markets. A principle distinction of DICK's Sporting Goods is the "shop-in-shop" format, which presents several spe- cialty categories under a single roof. (ie., Golf Pro Shop, Fitness Equip- ment, Footwear, Organized Team Sports, Athletic Apparel, Lodge/ Outdoor, etc.). Within each specialty are amenities and merchandise from top national name brands, exclusive private label products, and a host of specialized services. The stores are also staffed with highly knowledgeable sales associ- ates who demonstrate a high degree of field-specific expertise. As commit- ted athletes themselves, they can offer customers a high caliber of informed guidance. As a full-line retailer, the stores also promote competitive pric- ing, access to exclusive promotions, and a broad selection of reliable mer- chandise. DICK's Sporting Goods outper- forms the competition through a combination of convenience, quality product assortment, effective mar- keting, and attractive, large format stores. While the concept has tradi- tionally occupied sites ranging from 40,000 to 50,000 square feet in size in the past, in recent years it has concen- trated on adding some smaller format stores of approximately 35,000 square feet. CC Real estate inquiries and site submittals can be directed to: DICK's Sporting Goods, Inc., 345 Court Street, Coraopolis, PA 15108 (724) 273-3400. DICK's has traditional stores that range from 40,000 to 50,000 square feet and a smaller format that is about 35,000 square feet.
